Your Mac, on your iPhone, over your own WireGuard tunnel. Adaptive HEVC mirroring, pinch-to-zoom focus, and trackpad-style control with no cloud relay in between.
Glasswing is free, with no account and no license key. The Mac app is notarized and distributed directly from this site. Glasswing Remote for iPhone is on the App Store, with early builds on TestFlight. Requires macOS 27 and iOS 27.
How it works
Three pieces. Nothing in the middle.
Glasswing is not VNC and it is not a screen-sharing service. It is a purpose-built protocol between a small service on your Mac and the app on your iPhone, carried over a tunnel you own.

A quiet service on the Mac
The Mac app installs a small per-user background service that owns capture, authentication, and connectivity. It starts at login and keeps working with the app closed.

A tunnel you own
On the same network, or over a VPN you already run, the iPhone connects to the Mac directly. For remote access it can open its own app-local WireGuard tunnel to your home gateway, leaving your existing VPN untouched.

A stream that follows your eyes
Pinch to zoom and the Mac encodes only the region you look at, in HEVC, then sharpens it with lossless tiles. Full desktop when you want the overview, pixel-exact when you want detail.

Crop-first focus

Trackpad-style control
Move, click, drag, and scroll with gestures that feel like a trackpad instead of poking at a tiny cursor.
Keyboard and clipboard
Type with the iPhone keyboard, use modifiers and function keys, and move text between the two devices.
Screen recording
Record a session on the iPhone, with an audible countdown and optional narration from the microphone.
Private by design
No relay servers, no accounts. Connection credentials stay on the iPhone behind Face ID, and the Mac service only talks to paired devices.
Install on Mac
Download, unzip, move to Applications.
- Download Glasswing for Mac and unzip it.
- Move Glasswing to Applications and open it.
- Let it install its background service and grant Screen Recording and Accessibility access when asked.
- Choose Show Pairing Invitation on the Mac and scan it from Pair Your Mac in Glasswing Remote. Set up Remote Access later if you want to reach the Mac from elsewhere.
The Mac app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. It runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 27 or later. To reach your Mac from outside your home, you need a gateway with WireGuard, such as a UniFi gateway.
On the iPhone
Glasswing Remote. Your Macs. Your tunnel.
Glasswing Remote pairs with each Mac by scanning the code the Mac app shows and remembers everything locally. Add your WireGuard client configuration when you want remote access. It coexists with any VPN you already run.
Requires iOS 27 or later and a Mac running Glasswing for Mac. TestFlight carries the newest builds ahead of the App Store.
