Token Coffee
Know how much Codex and Claude you have left before you hit the wall. Token Coffee sits in your menu bar, shows your limits and forecasts where you will land when each window resets. It also keeps your Mac awake while your agents work.
Free, with no ads, no analytics and no Token Coffee account. Requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later, and a Codex or Claude account for the provider you want to follow.
The idea
A percentage is not a plan.
"62% used" means one thing on Monday and another on Friday. Token Coffee records your usage every minute and projects a likely range for the end of each window, based on how you actually work, bursts included. You see early whether to slow down or spend freely.
Where you need it
Click the menu icon on any display and the dashboard opens there, with its own size and position. Resize it or pick a layout that fits your desk.
History on every Mac
Usage history syncs through your private iCloud database, so a second Mac starts with the full picture. Saved readings appear at once while fresh numbers load.
The coffee part
Your Mac stays awake. Your agents keep going.
Choose Mac awake, Screen on or Off from the menu. A long agent run no longer stops because the Mac went to sleep. In Screen on mode, an optional black cover hides the screen while everything keeps running.
Optional Sleep Support
A separately signed and notarized component adds its own display-sleep timer, backlight dimming and work with the lid closed. Laptops need a short administrator setup. Everything else works without it.
Your credentials stay put
Codex signs in with a device code, Claude with its own browser authorization. Credentials live in your Mac's Keychain and never sync. No command-line tools needed.
